THE shortlist for this year's Scottish Fashion Awards is in, and as always the choice won't be easy for the judges. 'The talent pool highlighted by the judging process for the Scottish Fashion Awards gets better and better each year, making our job increasingly difficult,' Dolly Jones said. 'The kudos of winning one of the awards, though, has increased as the style bar is raised - so it makes the event all the more exciting. I can't wait to see who wins.' 

Familiar names, like Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders, share the Designer of the Year nominations with several who have graduated from the Young Designer category, including Louise Gray, Holly Fulton and Patrick Grant's E Tautz, leaving the Young Designer category open to some new entries. Model and Graduate of the Year also introduce some names of note for the future. 

The judging panel - including Brian Duffy, president of Ralph Lauren Europe, Professor Wendy Dagworthy, head of Fashion and Textiles at the Royal College of Art, Caroline Rush, ceo of the British Fashion Council, and VOGUE.COM editor Dolly Jones - will select the winners to be announced at the event on June 15 at Glasgow's Science Centre.
