Born in Iraq and raised by a family of creative thinkers, Lamis was heavily influenced from a young age which allowed her to find the necessary skills to create and run the popular Lamis Khamis clothing brand. With a passion for art, design and creativity Lamis went on to take a degree in fine art sculpture and ceramics but knew that her forte was with fashion design and an industry of clothing.

After she left University, Lamis was always recognised and noticed for her unique sense of style and dress, which would later prove to be the backbone of the brand. She began selling small amounts of clothing to small boutiques but the demand was overwhelming, this was a pivotal point regarding the creation of the Lamis Khamis clothing brand.
