Alexandra Burke
Like so many girls, Alexandra started singing before she even started school. Just a few years later, Alexandra sang on stage for the first time aged just 9 years old. It was with her famous Mother, of Soul II Soul fame, on a trip to Bahrain. It was after that experience that the performance bug hit.
Just three years later, Alexandra entered ‘Star for a Night’ and despite being the youngest entrant, she came second. She was beaten for her now good friend, Joss Stone.
After school, Alexandra decided to pursue a singing career. She, now famously, entered the 2005 X Factor but despite getting through to the judge’s houses, Louis thought she was too young and she didn’t progress .. that year.
In 2008, Alexandra Burke won X Factor and as they say, the rest is history.
